Owner and president of Atlantic States Weather Inc., founded in 2004. Atlantic States Weather has provided forensic and other meteorological consulting services for the U.S. Department of Justice, North Carolina Attorney General's Office, North Carolina Division of Emergency Management and over 100 law firms representing both plaintiffs and defendants in 26 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the UK, and Greece.

  • Skilled at providing analyses of impacts of high winds, tornadoes, hail, ice (slip and fall), flooding rains, dangerous temperatures

Over 30 years of applied meteorological experience including:

  • 22 years Active Duty as a Weather Officer with the U.S. Air Force (1989-2011), with service in locations around the country and overseas
  • 8 years as a Meteorologist (civil service) with the Department of the Air Force, the Pentagon (2011-2019)
  • 600+ hours as volunteer with Eastern Region, North Carolina Red Cross as Weather Watch Team Lead

  • 4 years as Meteorologist-In-Charge of the National Weather Service Office in Houston, TX (1983-1987)
  • Principal technical and policy advisor to the Director of the National Weather Service for hurricane and winter storm operations (1987-1990)
